Default Cloth?! What!

The title does seem ambiguous, but while I was salvaging a few weapons for materials to make room for more drops I noticed that a spear...converted into 7 bolts of cloth. So, I was wondering if anyone else has strange salvaging tales to tell.

Well I do find it amusing that a Bronze Crusher salvages into iron most frequently.

I always get granite from certain types of swords. Pretty lousy material to use in a sword if you ask me.

Was it a Ceremonial Spear? I've definitely gotten cloth from them before in Nightfall.

Yup. Heavy and brittle, absolutely no resistance to the kinetic shock of hitting something, even worse if sharpened to an edge. The opposite of everything that makes steel perfect for it.

Tribal blades and cleavers....always granite.

I've seen other strange salvages but can't recall any at this moment.

I salvage my old winter jacket and found 20 bucks in the pocket!
I like when that happens.

Was it a Banded Spear? I often get cloth from those.

I'm assuming the 'banding' around the body of the spear is made of cloth.

I salvaged a offhand and a scythe once and got a monstrous eye..

Also salvaged some kind of staff and got spiritwood planks..

The monstrous eye was the weirdest part :s

I got 8 steel ingots from a highly salvagable blue tribal blade. Never got anything aside from granite every single time I've salvaged one. Very weird.

Heh this topic reminds me of the old M&M games where quality of the weapons were based on the material, and you coould end up with leather swords, or axes, or such...:>

I can understand an eye coming from something like an evil eye staff, but a scythe?
I also onced salvaged ~50 granite from an offhand once. I would hate to be the monk that wielded that .

Depends what skin. Maybe from a Nightmare Scythe? I beleive some materials are matched up with appearance as well as general assumed knowledge of what is expected to salvage.

Although it dosent explain the granite/sand bricks what i salvage from razor sharp scimitar.

Standard-salvaging a silver bullion coin and getting 2 iron ingots.

Tiny silver coin = 2 big lumps of iron?

2 big tiny lumps of iron who says it has to be a big ingot?

Weirdest was salvaging 120 wood from a highly salvageble long sword @_@ didnt know they used that much wood in swords...
